footwear

It is not necessary to buy special shoes for your first dance class, but soft, comfortable shoes are recommended for ceilidh, Scottish Country and Highland dancing. Hard soled shoes are recommended for Scottish Step dancing.

For information on dance shoes (there are quite a variety!), dance books and other dance related equipment, you can visit our Dance Equipment page.
